There are so many different things to eat.  There are so many ways to cook.  Let's find new and better ways to enjoy cooking & eating well -- in good company.  Each session the group will prepare a meal, developing skills and knowledge in the kitchen about nutrition, flavors, and the art of good eating.

The first session’s theme will be “Eat Your Veggies” and will be led by Dhayana Haber.  Subsequent sessions will be led by Richard Haynes and will be designed around the needs and interests of the participants.

GOALS:
* Share knowledge of eating and preparing food.
* Encourage Independence from the deli and fast food.
* improve life through cuisine and hospitality.

BENEFITS:  Participants will improve their diet. Learn cooking skills, shopping skills, and will be encouraged to develop their creativity in the kitchen and at table.

FACILITATOR:  Richard Haynes has over 30 years of experience teaching meditation and body-mind integration techniques. Richard has a degree in Education and has studied Ayurveda with Deepak Chopra, MD and John Douillard, DC.  He has traveled to India where he learned and practiced breathing techniques and studied Ayurveda. Richard focuses his training on body-mind exercise techniques, diet, and routine, all based on Ayurveda

The first class, Sept. 19, will be led by Dhyana Haber.  She is a Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist from the California College of Ayurveda. Dhyana was born and raised in Vrindavan, India, and has been practicing and living a yogic and natural lifestyle since her childhood. She is a yoga instructor, who holds a diploma in Yoga Therapy and Naturopathy from the Sukadeva Ananda College in Hrishikesh, India.
